How to Win Against a Narcissist
If you’re still interacting with this person, explaining yourself, arguing back, buying into the idea that they’re actually stupid and really don’t understand, you are giving this person supply.
You cannot reason them into being a basically decent human being. They’re simply not capable of it.
They don’t have the makeup for that kind of thing. They don’t have empathy, compassion, self-reflect, and they don’t have remorse.
And whenever you try and treat them like there’s a semblance of a good person in there, you lose. While ever you agree to play with this person, you lose.
Playing is losing.
They’re not down to look for a productive solution to reach a mutual understanding. The only thing that they want to do is purposefully misinterpret your words, turn everything around and blame, shift everything back onto you.
Engaging on their terms equals more supply.
Buying into their twisted, warped sense of reality equals supply. They don’t want to have a deep and meaningful understanding and come to any kind of resolution.
