Alright, let’s cut through the fluff

You might think the Narcissist is hiding something when they first reel you in, but that’s not quite it.

So…what’s really going on?

They’re not pretending — they genuinely believe the fantasy they’re living in. When you get tangled up with a narcissist, you’re just stepping into their world of illusion without even realizing it.

Narcissists can’t see the middle ground

To them, you’re either perfect or a total mess — same goes for how they see themselves. This is because their whole object relations (the ability to see people as complex, with both good and bad traits) is broken. It’s a pretty sad situation when you think about it, but don’t feel too bad for them just yet.

From a young age, they’ve been made to feel worthless and unlovable. But since the human mind is built, in some facet, on self-preservation, they build this “false self” — a perfect, shiny version they want everyone (including themselves) to believe in.

It’s all smoke and mirrors to hide the shame buried deep down. And after a while, they’ve spun this web of delusion so tight, they start buying into…
