Here’s the thing. Narcissists don’t really understand or notice other people deeply. It’s like they often forget that others exist.

One reason for this might be that narcissists don’t remember much about others or emotionally feel close to them. So, when they think about things, they don’t think about how it affects others like most people do.

When narcissists meet someone, it’s like they’re always shocked. They’re surprised to realize there are other people in the world because they don’t really think about them.

That might explain why they have a certain kind of stare. It’s like they’re saying, “Who are you? Where did you come from? What are you talking about?”

Another reason for the stare could be that narcissists feel paranoid and bear inherent distrust of others. This paranoia might come from their unconscious realization that they can’t really empathize with others because they struggle to care about anything beyond themselves.

Even though they might not be aware of this consciously, their eyes still show it through their stare.
