Here is a phrase you can say to a narcissist to absolutely destroy them, and it’s neither toxic or abusive.
To preface, in order to understand the phrase, I need to elaborate why it’s so effective and it involves getting into the narcissist’s psychology.
Secretly, they hate themselves on the inside
They absolutely cannot stand day to day that they have to be them. This forces them to create a mask of who they wish to be to the world. Due to lacking any sense of self, that mask eventually becomes them.
When they become abusive, that mask they’ve created slips. This is when you get into the devaluing stage of the relationship. This is when they start to stonewall you, gaslight you, and abuse you. So when that abuse happens and you are ready to leave, all you have to say is the following:
Look them in the eyes, bearing a look of disappointment and just utter the words:
“I see you for who you really are now.”
